Beach Volleyball Nets
PORTABLE - Portable nets have tubular aluminium posts secured by guy ropes. The posts are in sections to allow for height adjustment. They take just a few minutes to erect and dismantle, packing away in a carry bag. Easily transportable. A simple and fast solution for one-off beach volleyball days, promotions and corporate events. |

TOURNAMENT - Aluminium posts with built-in height and tension adjustment. These fit into heavy duty metal sockets which are either bolted to solid ground or secured by the weight of sand on horizontal wooden beams which fit into arms at the base of each socket. No guy ropes required. Once the sockets are in place, the posts can be removed and replaced as required. The standard system for international tournaments and recommended for most permanent applications, particularly if the sand is to be used for other beach sports. |
PERMANENT - Posts usually made from wood, either set in concrete or held in place by the weight of sand on horizontal wooden beams attached at the base of each post. The net is attached to eyelets which are set above the regulation net heights for men and women. Cord is used to tension the net and pull it down to the correct height. Typically used for permanent installations with open public access, dedicated solely to beach volleyball. |

Net posts should be padded for tournament use and there are various regulations including a specified distance between the post padding and the playing area boundary. Referees may disallow play if the court or net systems do not comply with tournament regulations. BVUK can provide more detailed specifications and recommend suppliers.
